DIRECTOR'S BIO

Rainer Sarnet is an Estonian director whose work began with animation. He then worked in advertising and publishing. After applying a Fassbinderesque touch to Dostoevsky’s philosophy in his first feature film, The idiot (2011), and blending Baltic folklore and macabre gothic in November (2018), The Invisible Fight is his latest fiction film, presented in competition at the Locarno Film Festival.
