Le principali azioni realizzate da Seeyousound To Green are aimed at fostering a transparent and fruitful dialogue around the field of social, economic and environmental sustainability.
The hope is that, by helping to promote and spread good practices in the cultural events sector, the relevance of these issues in everyone’s daily life is never lost sight of, in the awareness that we can be, even if only, a small part of a great change.
Below are some of the actions put in place by Seeyousound for the latest editions and for SYSELEVEN.
REDUCING EMISSIONS: THE SEEYOUSOUND FOREST
Thanks to a reforestation project in collaboration with zeroCO2, Seeyousound is committed to reducing the emissions it is unable to eliminate. The Seeyousound forest – which in 2025 will be enlarged with the purchase of 50 trees – is located in Guatemala within a reforestation project with high social impact and, from 2023 to date, has offset 36,000 kg of CO2.
People are the true heart of the project: indeed, all the trees have been donated to the farming community of Monte Carmelo which, by taking care of them, will be able to benefit from the fruit harvested, launching micro-entrepreneurship projects.
COMUNICAZIONE
We have decided to reduce the use of paper materials (in particular the catalogue), preferring digital materials.
The Festival has acquired a set of supports and structures that can be customised every year without having to be bought again.
MOBILITÀ SOSTENIBILE
Thanks to a partnership with Stellantis, we have two hybrid cars at our disposal. The vehicles, used during the festival days for transporting artists around the city and for production, allow quick and sustainable travel.
We also encourage guests to travel by train or coach, where possible, avoiding taking it for granted that the plane is always the preferred means of travel.
All the festival venues are easily reachable on foot or by public transport, and the hotels chosen are all central.
ACQUA
We have installed two water dispensers fed by large bottles, free for the public and the production staff, in the foyer of Cinema Massimo, thanks to the collaboration with Smat. The water dispensers will make it possible to reduce the use of plastic bottles and the related waste management costs.
ECONOMIA CIRCOLARE
In this edition, Seeyousound supports the circular economy initiative Biova Project which turns unsold bread into craft beer.
