The eighth edition of Seeyousound is getting ever closer: while waiting for the opening night on Friday 18 February at the Cinema Massimo in Turin, on the mixcloud channel of Radio Banda Larga you can listen to RBL x Seeyousound, a series of episodes produced in collaboration with our festival to tell of the films, stories and music that will enliven the eighth edition of the first Italian music-themed film festival.
One episode a week for four weeks, each focusing on a different section of Seeyousound, in keeping with the whole varied offering that Seeyousound seeks to present to audiences every year. Hosted by Stefania Vulpi.
We kick off with Into The Groove, the so-called “showcase” of the festival, the one that tries to bring together the films with the most celebrated and resounding names without letting quality take second place: the guest on this episode is the director of Seeyousound and curator of the section, Carlo Griseri.
In the second episode it is the turn of Rising Sound, a section that this year returns with the thematic programme Music is the weapon. Guests on this episode are curator Juanita Apraez Murillo together with Cristina Visentin, section consultant.
The third episode offers a double track through the dialogue between guests Matteo Pennacchia and Alessandro Maccarrone, who explore in depth the treatment of their respective sections LP Feature (fiction feature films) and Soundies (videoclip).
The fourth and final episode focuses on the music documentaries of the section LP Doc, a selection of five from which to draw numerous insights in the reflection offered by curator Paolo Campana and deputy director Alessandro Battaglini.
