[id]entity Live Visual by Project-TO in collaborazione con Algoritmi.
[id]entity is a work on identity that reflects on the complexity of its elements and on our perception of the human being through the synthesis of its components.
First presented at the Bunker in Turin in November 2019, it has been hosted at major festivals including Algoritmi 2019, Share 2019, TFF 2020, Robot Festival 2021 and Museo Sonoro at the OGR 2021.
The characteristics of identity were first gathered in their visual and sonic properties through “site-specific” sessions of photography, video and sound recording, and interactive installations. The data collected are transformed into digital components, and then reworked in real time during the live set as they interact with one another.
The outcome is a new synthetic form resulting from the different identities gathered, whose complexity will give rise to a new, autonomous, indiscriminate identity, constantly evolving in space and time. The result of the artistic research is the creation of a new digital identity, an unrepeatable one-off generated by the algorithms of the code and by the real-time processing of audio and video data.
La performance sonora avviene in live coding, with the code programmed and executed live.
