Alla ricerca dell’immagine che il cinema può restituire della musica e di quanto l’uno possa entrare in risonanza con l’altra. Un suono che si vede, non una colonna sonora. Non solo musical, non solo biopic ma un insieme di produzioni, spesso indipendenti, che rendano tangibili questi temi. È una proposta che nasce dal basso, dalla passione di professionisti e cultori che hanno ideato e conducono questa sfida per portare sotto gli occhi di tutti quanto questo genere di cinema abbia influito sulla tradizione popolare e quanto il suo impatto sul sentire comune sia lontano dall’esaurirsi.

Compongono il mosaico più di 70 proiezioni, suddivise in tre sezioni di concorso (7Inch/ cortometraggi, Longplay/ lungometraggi, Soundies/ videoclip), una rassegna a tema dal titolo “Trans-Global Express” – uno squarcio sull’alterità e sulle potenzialità creative dell’ibridazione culturale contemporanea – e una panoramica trasversale intitolata “Into the groove”, che, con uno sguardo d’insieme e fuori dagli schemi, punta dritto alle produzioni più emblematiche dell’anno. Giunto alla terza edizione, Seeyousound raddoppia i giorni di programmazione: si svolgerà dal 27 GENNAIO al 4 FEBBRAIO 2017, sempre nelle sale del Cinema Massimo di Torino.
