Stephen Kijak Studied at Boston University’s College of Communication. In 1996 he writes, produces and directs Never Met Picasso, winner of the Best Screenplay and Best Actor at the Outfest film festival in ’97. In 2002 he realized Cinemania with the German filmmaker A. Christlieb (Best Documentary at the Hamptons Int. Film. 2002), then he makes the documentary Scott Walker 30 Century Man, with David Bowie as executive producer (Berlinale 2007). In 2010 he presents at Cannes the documentary Stones On Exile, about Rolling Stones’ ventures on the French Riviera during the recordings of the 1974 album Exile On Main St.

We are X was presented at the Sundance Film Festival, awarded by the Jury for the Editing, at SXSW, where it has won the Audience Award for Excellence in Title Design, and it was released in theaters in the US.
