when life runs at 33 revolutions per minute

Country: Italy, France, Germany
Year: 2011

One of the first memories of my life is a Mozart’s record that my mother used to play in the morning to wake me up … It’s been several years, but the vinyl records are still part of my life. What about you, have you ever listened to a vinyl record with its unique sound and that rustle that caresses you? Have you ever plunged into the colors of the covers? Have you ever smelled it? Music takes on a unique, almost erotic flavor.
In Vinylmania the director guides us in the folds of an object that has never lost its own soul and questions about what makes it so legendary in a world dominated by liquid music: it’s a simple longing? The illusion of possessing the body of music? The search of an identity? A yell against the soulless digital flow? A great and mysterious love affair? From Tokyo to New York to London, through Paris and Prague we meet tribes of collectors, DJs, musicians, artists and explore the stores where passion is transformed into fever and the factories where the presses have started again to print millions of copies.
The vinyl records are back!
