Patrick Shen made his debut in 2005 with the film Flight from Death: The Quest for Immortality, which won seven awards for Best Documentary at several American festivals. In 2009 he presented the documentary The Philosopher Kings to Silverdocs. His third work La Source, after the 2010 earthquake in Haiti, presented the AFI Docs in 2012, has received a standing ovation and a nomination for the Social Impact Award. Over the past three years Patrick participated in a cultural program of the U.S. Department of State and the USC School of Cinematic Arts which calls American filmmakers from all over the world for lectures about film direction.

In Pursuit Of Silence was presented to eight International festivals, including the CPH: DOX (2015), SXSW (2016), the Sheffield Film Docs (2016) and the Full Frame Doc Film Festival (2016).
